Blood Sampling – Venipuncture

Blood tests provide vital information about your pet’s overall health, including organ function and disease detection. At Home Vets London, we have an in-home laboratory, allowing many blood tests to be processed on-site for faster results, typically within one to two business days.

Blood Pressure Measurement (HDO)

Using high-definition oscillometry (HDO), blood pressure can be measured quickly and accurately. This procedure is essential for monitoring chronic conditions such as kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, and cardiovascular disorders. Results are more reliable when obtained in a calm, home environment.

Cystocentesis

Collecting urine from cats can be challenging, especially when a contamination-free sample is required. Cystocentesis allows urine to be collected directly from the bladder using a sterile needle. With our in-home laboratory, urine can be analysed immediately to assess hydration, kidney function, inflammation, or urinary tract infections.

Anal Gland Expression

If your pet is scooting, licking excessively, or has a pungent odor, anal gland expression may be necessary. This simple procedure requires veterinary expertise and knowledge of anatomy, but no sedation is needed, and it provides excellent results.

De-Matting
